Dr. David Andersen - Dentist
David grew up in Remer, MN on their family resort. He attended the University of Minnesota for undergraduate and dental school. He graduated in 1992 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and moved to Park Rapids. He was married to Amy in 1994, and they built his current dental office in 2003.
David has served on many community and state committees and boards, holding several officer positions along the way. He is currently the President of the Minnesota Dental Association. In 2005, he was selected as the Park Rapids Community Service Award winner and was honored as one of the Minnesota Jaycee’s Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans. He is also a longstanding a Rotary member and is a former president of the organization.
In addition to his many professional commitments, David enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, and their lab, Skyler. Whether it be hunting, fishing, or spending time on the pontoon with friends, David loves to be outdoors enjoying all the Park Rapids lakes area has to offer.
Dr. Lora Nelson - Dentist
Dr. Lora Nelson has been with the practice since May 2012. Dr. Nelson grew up in Cambridge, MN before attending college at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She then attended the University of Minnesota where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Nelson is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Minnesota Dental Association (MDA), and Northwestern District Dental Society.
Dr. Nelson lives in Park Rapids with her husband, Jeremy, who owns Park Performance Chiropractic. They have two daughters--Layla and Natalie--and one son--Benjamin, who was just born in September 2018. In her free time, Dr. Nelson enjoys being on the lake, home decorating, spending time with family and friends, and playing with her basset hound, Humphrey.
Jen - Patient Coordinator
Jen joined the dental practice in August 2018 and has over 12 years of experience working in the dental field. She also currently holds her LPN license in the state of MN. Her family moved to the area from Hinckley over 30 years ago. In her free time, Jen enjoys walking, being outdoors, reading, sappy movies, listening to music, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. She lives in Park Rapids with her two children--Ava and Ashton--and their dog, Hadleigh.
Carol - Dental Hygienist
Carol was raised in Perham, MN. She entered the Armed forces and then went onto college at NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND where she graduated with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 1990. She joined Dr. Andersen's dental team in 1992. Carol and her husband live in New York Mills on a dairy farm. They have two daughters, Sada and Savannah. Sada is mother to Carol's two wonderful granddaughters, Mila and Sage.
Mariah - Dental Hygienist/Front Desk
Mariah joined our office in April 2015. She was born and raised in Bemidji, MN. She attended Argosy University in Eagan, MN and received her Dental Hygiene degree in 2014. She and her husband, Ben, have two dogs--a Mini Australian Shepherd named Nala and an English Springer named Kona. In her free time she enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with her husband and their dogs.
Kimberly - Dental Hygienist
Jessica - Dental Hygienist
Jessica has been a licensed dental assistant since 2009. She earned her degree at Central Lakes College and joined our office in 2011. Jessica, her husband, Darin, and daughter, Haley, live on a small farm in Deer Creek, MN. In her free time she likes to horseback ride, hunt and spend time with her family.
Kim - Dental Assistant
Kim has been a Licensed Dental Assistant since 2001. She earned her degree from Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, MN. She received a B.S. in Community Health from SCSU in 2004. Kim and her husband, Aaron, live in Park Rapids with their two boys, Nolan and Logan. Kim is originally from TRF. When she isn't working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
